And the original one is still working like a charm. Boy, do I wish I hadn't used red RTV sealant or any sealant at all.
Hard to believe this was 10 years ago.
OMG, the R turns 30 in a few weeks. It was 19 when I got it ...
This fall will make it 15 years of 850 ownership for me!

Re: 1993 850 coming from wrong port.
Are the codes you are getting plausible? If they are, it's weird but at least you can work with them. The blinky box in my 94 T5 is funky too, some ports that should work simply don't have a metal socket and therefore don't respond at all, and not all codes seem to have numbers that should be create...

I think skandix has the stiffener. if I recall correctly it is basically a metal brace with two long bolts to prevebt the Volvo tool from bending

I once bought a Civic that had the timing belt break while idling in a parking lot. We threw a belt on it and it ran perfectly fine. I wonder if the Momentum at idle just isn't high enough to bend the valves.

Re: I'm not getting the signal to engage the radiator fan
Sure. The wires on these cars do rot occasionally, especially the larger ones to the starter and alternator.
Simple fix could be to run an extra ground wire to a non corroded bolt.

The coffee hasn't soaked my brain yet, but doesn't that simply imply that the fan relay is bad?

Re: Volvo C70 '99 swap B5254T with B5234T3
I'd first suspect the valve stem seals or the turbo as well. Hard to believe the turbo would be bad with these little miles. My 94 T5 would smoke like hell once the turbo went bad at around 300.000 km. The valve stem seals harden up with time. This is likely after these years. Check for it by lettin...

I'll give it a try, Misha.
I just wonder why I couldn't get these '92 turn signal units to fit in the '96.
