Re: Check out this blast from the past I just found

I have one of them in the trunk of my R. The problem ia that even though it is properly mouted, anything but perfect roads make the CDs jump.

at skandix, be careful that you get OE Volvo quality. Their 'Hausmarke' brand is of doubtable quality, especially on rubber parts. Ask me how I know.

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today? (now Sticky)

Replaced the turbo diaphramg, the TCV and some hoses on my 94T5M. This seems to have cured the strange boost problem I´ve had ever since I got it. Also did an oil and filter change. And changed some of the power steering fluid. Additionally I did an oil and filter change, changed some of the power s...

yeah, give that a shot. you could probably just run a temporary fix before hacking up the wiring loom permanently. if you have a chance, get a spare tps connector off the junkyard.

Re: Nivomats/UPDATE

P.S.: What I could imagine is that the spirt nicomat keeps the old ride height as long as a non aport nivo is on the second side. I guess it will get lower if you put in the second one.

Re: Nivomats/UPDATE

I bought the OE springs. I will look up the parts number when under the car. And the Nivomats were made as special order by Sachs on December 28 2017. Interestingly they had a weird parts number on them which declared them as S80 Nivos, which was a mistake by Sachs. The old one was blue.

Re: Nivomats/UPDATE

interesting that the ride height is the same. but if it is the same, the springs should be different for the lowered sport suspension. My 96 R sits alot lower (like 3 cm) than my 94T5 and my 95 10V. Also, I ordered new sport Nivomats and springs last year, and they had different part numbers than th...

quick AT/ATF question Topic is solved

I drain and refill the usual 3.2 liters of ATF yearly. Every year, there is some sludge and small metallic particles/flakes on the drain plug's magnet. The ATF, although pretty red, has a greyish metallic sparkle in the drain pan. The car has 200.000 miles and I drive approx 5 to 8.000 miles a year ...

Re: Nivomats/UPDATE

so you should not mix them but put the sport ones on both sides. if you put the donor car Springs on there as well you will have a partially dropped Volvo...

AC compressor won't cycle Topic is solved

So this is not one of these typical low on freon issues. I had my AC refilled this spring and it actually works like a charm ( I did the zip tie fix a few years ago). I noticed something today that I can't explain: it was raining outside, chilly 70 degree night. the AC was cycling on and off, like 1...
