Re: Power steering rack leak
Hi again Chuck W. Was hoping I could clear up some items in your instructions if I may. *Great by the way. 2.1: removing the steering gear. I'm okay down to point 9 where you add information. I have an engine support beam (between the fenders) so my understanding was to support the engine and releas...

Re: Power steering rack leak
Thanks Chuck W.
Unfortunately, our leak is indeed the drivers side (same side as the steering shaft /pinion). Damn!

Power steering rack leak
Is it possible to replace the end seal of a power steering rack while the rack is still in the car? I have one end with quite a leak, but the other end and the pinion shaft are bone dry, clean and dusty. Its only the drivers end that is filling up the boot and leaking past the big end of the boot. ....

Fault code won't reset.
Hi. 1995 850 - basic non-turbo SE automatic started flashing its engine fault orange arrow. No change in the cars behavior. Meant to get to it on a w/e but it fixed itself and went away. Last week it came back. Did the engine and auto code extraction (no OBD - just the A & B boxes behind right-h...

Re: ABS help please.
[If it doesn't you can readily get those pumps on eBay for relatively cheap. But pump and install...] I've already done just this! Replaced the ABS pump with a still wet one from an 850 and supposedly working ABS pump unit from an eBay seller. Hence this thread because it has fixed the slight pullin...

Re: ABS help please.
[For that matter after you did the work you'd have to drive faster than that speed for system to ever be enabled the first time. Did it get driven 24 mph/ 40kph after the repairs?] I didn't know that and cannot say for sure if I exceeded 40Kph on the crash stop tests but would have thought I did at ...

Re: ABS help please.
Hi. Cant imagine anyone playing with the electronics as the car was purchased new by my wife's godmother when she was 75 years old and given to us last year after she stopped driving in 2015. Serviced religiously at Volvo Dealer. But I went and checked anyway - started engine, no ABS light, pulled f...

ABS help please.
We inherited a low klm 850 sedan from a relation. It had been standing for long periods unused and is in excellent looking condition. Once it started to be used after we got it, some problems have cropped up and mostly dealt with except for the ABS system. All four calipers were completely overhaule...

Re: Help with inlet air temp sensor please.
Pictures attached. As stated, I know its an air temp sensor. I've looked at countless *50 google photos and can see its always connected. What I cannot find in my engine bay is the cable and connector that belongs to it. I've had the air box out several times looking for anything that would reach an...
