It sounds as if yoou have a low freon charge.

With low freon, the comressor will shut down due to low pressure in the system.

I have a 2004 S80 with 2.9L . I get a message in the information display that says" bulb failure, position light ". I do not see any bulbs out on the car.

Does anyone know what the position light is?

try ebay. do a search on "vadis" (thats what Volvo calls their electronic service manual).

I will be replacing the front brakes on my 2004 S80 2.9 non-turbo. What, if anything, do I put on the back of the pads. Anti-squeal goop, for example?

Also, do I need to worry about the ABS system when I bleed the brakes?

I do not like hayne or chilton manuals. I have purchased factory manuals for other cars, but I cannot find a source for Volvo's.

Any idea where I can get one?

Do I need to go to the dealer for the "official" Volvo power steering fluid or can I use a generic brand?
