Bad bulb indicator on when braking.

96 855 the bad bulb indicator comes on when i touch the brake pedal but all bulbs appear to be intact/working. Possibly volt/watt problem with one of them? I switched a few around still happens though. External appearance suggests all bulbs are equally bright. More annoying than a functional problem...

Rack and Pinion needed 96 855t

A beaten to death subject but it appears I need a steering rack, family owned clean wagon since 99, lived in the SE US. Vehicle is in pretty darn good shape with tons of desirable add ons but if it's difficult to find a rack I'll have to let the car go, a specimen way to good for the boneyard. Any i...

Re: Crankcase vent hose 9471644

I found CN90's write up and the associated threads. Annoyed I didn't do this mod when I replaced this system using Volvo parts a few years back. Unless otherwise suggested I will follow this write up this time around. Added suggestions ? It's been 5 years since I last did this.

Crankcase vent hose 9471644

Genuine Volvo is around 450$$. !!!
What are we using for this IIRC there is a DIY hose arrangement
Anyone remember that?
I'll keep looking myself.
Seems there is a link to such a thing somewhere.
Thanks.

Re: ISO outer cv boot clamp 850t.

The turbo axle requires a different sized clamp as you likely know. IIRC the 102.5mm was a great fit for the 96t. If the 2000 is NA it will certainly be different, either way there were weird variations in CVJ size along the way. Sorry my clamp didn't work for you!

Re: 98 S70 misfire chasing

Start with the inexpensive stuff, clean up cap, rotor. Next might be vacuum leak agree with last post, also not expensive. I'd go there next, inspect hoses at turbo, tcv. Replacement Bosch cap is over 100 bucks?? Not to mention wires, etc. though you just replaced them I gather, oem parts?

Re: Exhaust leak? Mistimed? Lifter tick?

I agree the whole drive train sounds, well, noisy. Lifter tick doesn't seem to be predominant noise, did you say you checked the oil pressure along the way? Pick up tube 0 rings are as you noted in the equation but that tick if isolated is pretty hard to miss. I assume trans and diff aren't contribu...

850t driver axle replacement.

It looks like I may simply be able to disconnect control arm at the ball joint attachment, remove axle nut and swivel hub outward so I can then access the axle as seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gdj0CU1L0Gw&t=201s. Maybe not remove inner bolt from the control arm at all. Last time I d...

Driver side axle replacement 96 850t.

Possibly the easiest way is to remove axle nut, undo the control arm at the ball joint end, swing caliper/hub out of the way and remove axle. It may be that's all I need to do? Why undo the control arm from it's inner bolt if it will drop down out of the way enough to pull the axle out leaving it in...
