Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?

Peeked under the hood of the T5 to show my brother a crumbling polyurethane upper engine mount that the PO had installed, only to find that it had completely disintegrated. Amazingly, he had a spare one along with the press to install it. He also checked Blue Steel, which had a bit too much play in ...

Re: Herman and Operation 30MPG

I think I told you this last time but I have Lesjfors HDs on the back of Evita and the IPD Blue HDs on the back of Elizabeth the T5 They are both great. Thanks for loaning me the engine picker - I told Mom what great guys you are and that she should be proud of you. She gave me $100 to pull your EV...

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?

Those gaps are huge, I’ll guess .045 inches. I didn't even think to check the gap on the old ones, but I think I'll do that tomorrow! This weekend, I drove the T5 about 230 miles to Hunter, New York, for a friend's birthday weekend, clocking in at 29 mpg by the time I got home. It would've been hig...

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?

I installed new Bosch copper plugs, replacing Denso iridium plugs of indeterminate age.

Hit 190k today in the R. No, I don't use my phone while driving... but I need to capture the special moments  .
I totally know that feeling. I took this one of the T5 in June.

There's also a broken one on eBay that needs a new main bolt, in case anyone is looking.

Re: The Fiat 500 is dead in the US

I saw a Fiat 500 getting towed on the side of I-287 last week and thought what it shame that such a cute car could cause such headaches. I owned a 2009 Mini Cooper, and that thing was super fun to drive, much like a go-kart on steroids. Parking was AMAZING, even on SoHo on weekends. RIP, Cinquecento.

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?

Finally got the ride height on the T5 back to stock with Lesjöfors HD springs (thanks, Abscate!), new OE spring spacers and closeout shocks. I had ordered new shock mounts, but I got impatient waiting for them. Thankfully, the existing ones looked good, with no cracks or other visible damage, from t...

Re: For loan: Delta link bushing tool (P/N 9995497)

The delta link tool (Volvo Part No. 9995497) seems to be available at iPd now.

Unless someone has managed to buy one in the meantime. :)
