Selling my 99 V70xc
Good morning, unfortunately having to part ways with my 99xc70. She's been good to me but the trans is slipping in reverse and the power steering rack leaks almost as fast as you can pour new fluid in. I just don't have time and space to do the work. The body is in fantastic shape, a couple small di...

Re: New 08 xc90 owner
Sorry for 'LATE" update here, Its been a rough year, I'll leave it it that. Actually this XC90 (dubbed Tabitha by my wife) has been a work horse and not needed a whole lot and has been one of the best decisions of the last year. That noise I thought was a bearing turned out to be the torque mou...

Re: New 08 xc90 owner
Chitownv. Its like a groan that sounds like a wheel bearing when hard on the throttle. All the fluid changes are in the near future. I just got the plates yesterday I only have the test drive and the drive home to check it out.

Re: New 08 xc90 owner
Ggleavitt if the tire shop can't refurbish or reset the tire system its not the end of the world. My plan was to likely change the mounts once a have a few miles on it to make sure I'm going to keep it. Its something I normally do. Movolos. That sounds ugly. I'll have to look into that and potential...

Re: 99 v70xc rear subframe
The return line was rotten through where it makes then turn towards the filler neck. The sub frame has corroded around the bolt holes and is getting thin. I'm hoping if I can find a decent one and take my time building it, i'll let you know when I get to that point if I need anything. I don't think ...

New 08 xc90 owner
So I just picked this gem up. 08 xc90 3.2. She has high miles but in great shape. It needs tires and the only messages is service tire monitoring system but I'm hoping a trip fie new tires will take care of that. I bought it off a small dealer and it came from an auction. By all checks it appears to...

Re: 99 v70xc rear subframe
Sorry my phone died and life just got away from me. Your thread had helped immensely thank you! I unfortunately was in a position that needed to get the car back together quickly. Got her together and running well. My plan is to see of i can get another sub frame and take my time building it. Here a...

99 v70xc rear subframe
Good morning, so my car a couple weeks ago decided to start spewing gas from the top of the tank somewhere. So I decided to drop the whole rear end. Honestly not as bad as I expected. Here are some pics of the progress. The front two bolts snapped as expected. Now seeing the the condition of everyth...

Re: My 850 is driving me nuts...(engine stalls when hot)
Twc, when was the fuel pump relay last replaced? I had a similar issue last summer on my 98xc and that was the culprit. It would only act up after a longer drive on days above 75-80 degrees Fahrenheit and was driving me nuts. After changing the relay has not done it since.
