Sorry it is a 99 s70 awd

Had a mechanic find an oil leak at the rear cam seal. When he got the cover off, he said there was no seal to replace. Anyone ever had that happen? I've own this car for 15+ years and I know it hasn't ever been changed since I have owned it.

Is there a write up somewhere on the easiest way to change it?

Can someone point me in the right direction of the location of the fuel filter on a 99 S70 AWD sedan? Can't seem to find anything on the web.

I just had the transmission and transfer case rebuilt. So, my wife came home and said the ETS light was on but no CEL. Also, the Service light was on. I reset the service light then ran for codes. A P1238 code came up. I erased the code and the ETS light went out and hasn't come back on. Now the car...

Thanks for all of help. I got it taken care of. Now, I just have to reinstall it.

So, can I remove the seal with a seal puller? Looking at it seems like that is all that is needed. I guess I'll change all of the seals if that's all you have to do to that side. passenger side looks pretty straight forward. Thanks

Thanks for your help. cn90, the seal #3 is a seal that is located in the angle gear, is that correct? That is the seal that the transmission shop says is leaking. Is #2 seal in the sleeve .

It's definitely coming from the angle gear. Transmission side is dry. I was there when the shop removed the angle gear. He changed all the seals on the transmission when he rebuilt it. I was hoping it was the trans. That would have been his dime, not mine. However, it's odd that it starting leaking ...
