Re: Difficulty starting with ECM-201A and ECM-2000 codes
Thanks. Yes I did order the OEM parts. Hopefully they'll arrive in a day or so.

Re: Difficulty starting with ECM-201A and ECM-2000 codes
It looks like it's the ECT sensor. It measures >6K ohms at both 0 deg C and 20 deg C.
Thanks for the help! I appreciate it.

Re: Difficulty starting with ECM-201A and ECM-2000 codes
Thanks for the quick reply. I'm glad that there's an explanation that makes sense. I found the resistance chart
and will check it.

Difficulty starting with ECM-201A and ECM-2000 codes
Hi Everyone. I can use some help. I have a 2000 V70 XC with 202,000 miles. I experienced a sudden difficulty starting (long normal sounding cranking, starts after several tries) along with a CEL. Once running, it seems to run normally. Prior to this, starting was easy and reliable. A VIDA diagnostic...

Re: 2000 XC70 parking brake parts
Just realized that those part numbers were replaced by another. But another question. Replacing all of the parts, including the cable, with OEM parts looks like it will run almost $200 per side. Are there non OEM parts out there that are worth buying?

2000 XC70 parking brake parts
Hi all. I'm about to replace my parking brakes an I noticed that a couple of parts are no longer available -
The adjuster "claw" and the piece that fits over it. Does anyone know of a replacement part that fits? Thanks in advance for the help.
Dennis

Re: 1999 and 2000 V70 XC trans flush/ ATF
FYI: I went to the Dealership and talked to one of the technicians who has been there for many years. Apparently, the Service Adviser that I talked to was mistaken. While they will use the JWS 3309 in the AW 50-42 transmissions that experience the hard lockup engagement/disengagement issues, they ge...

Re: 1999 and 2000 V70 XC trans flush/ ATF
It's interesting that my 2000 XC has had a full flush with Dexron III all 4 times at my Volvo dealer (dealer #3), the last one being in 2012 at 145K. They are now advocating a full flush with JWS 3309 in all of these AW 50-42 transmissions, even high mileage ones like mine. Their philosophy changed ...

1999 and 2000 V70 XC trans flush/ ATF
Pretty new to this forum. I have a 2000 V70XC with 180,000 miles. The ATF has been flushed at a Volvo dealer at 35, 70, 110, and 145K with Dexron III, is still clean and pink, and shifts smoothly. I also just purchased a 1999 V70XC with 57,000 miles privately, with a history of a transmission flush ...
