aw transmission
it's the same. when you remove the old one be very careful that you don't get dirt in the valve body where you remove the old one you will create more problems than you solve. also the 2 orings have to still be somewhat soft or it will leak like a seive

wiper arm
take the wiper arm off and wrap a rag around it while clamping the lower end of it in a bench vise. pull the arm toward you about 1/2 inch. this will set the arm back down at the high point on the windshield, usually works for about two years before you have to readjust it again

transmission flush
don't do it. these thngs are already proving to be more problematic than helpful. they tend to push dirt into the valve body creating problems that didn't exist before you have it "flushed" open the trans plug, drain the fluid out you will get 4 qts exactly. replace the plug with a new sea...

trailing arm bushings
you can beat them out with an air chisel, but the arm mounting points are WEAK from side to side. you CAN NOT beat them back in as you will bend the mounting arms. you must support between the little arm pieces and press them in with a special tool. if you don't have the press kit, pay the money for...

re: 93 850
that sounds like the cam sensor, but with the age of your volvo, the fuel pump relay may be getting tired. we lose one of them once in a while on the older volvos. also if memory serves me correctly, there is a yellow relay rated at 40 amps under the top cover of the radiator that is the master syst...

check the detent cable on the throttle spool, [the lower cable] for binding and stuck and rusty. it needs to be free and easy and when you pull it . you should hear an audible click when you pull it all the way out and release it as the cam drops back down in the valve body of the transmission . ass...

pull the kick panel on the right side. if the fuel ecm has a pink color tag on it and ends in the number 561 the rollover leg in the computer has probably gone bad . 1/2 of the fuel pump relay turns on the ecm, and the other half of the relay that turns on the pumps is turned on by the ecm. weird, b...

turn the system on, wait for the delay time to pass, get a test light and go to the cycling switch on the accumulator. there will be two green wires going into the switch check for 12vdc at one side or the other if you have 12 volts present the problem is probably the compressor clutch . {assuming t...
