Re: What is this! Behind the wheel?
Thanks for the response! I definitely don't want to end up on the side of the road! I just want to do the best thing in my situation. The sensor may be in better view below. So I went into a parking lot and did full lock turns on both left and right with NO noise. I am not actually getting any noise...

Re: WHAT IS THIS! Behind the wheel?
Thanks guys! I don't hear sound on turning, I think I will try repacking it with the grease and Genuine Volvo Boot? I will try full look turns and see if I hear any sounds? If there are no sounds, should I proceed as I suggested? Is Vavoline Multi-Purpose grease okay? It says it includes cv joints, ...

What is this! Behind the wheel?
Hello all! So I was changing my brakes and rotors, to find a surprise! This surprise is likely the culprit of a slight popping noise on the right passenger's side, when accelerating for the first 45 seconds of driving. It goes away totally while driving or stopping, no matter the speeds. The excepti...

Re: "Reduced Engine Power" Limp Mode
Thanks you all. Okay, so I finally got around to removing the throttle body and it had oil in it- I think the substance was oil at least. It was on the side that connects to the intake manifold. The side that connects to the hose was clean. I think it was actually oily inside the hose, although. Min...

Re: "Reduced Engine Power" Limp Mode
@precopster - that makes a whole lot of sense. What is a good way to go about fixing my connectors? Find a part? Buy wire? I am not sure? As mentioned before, I did go ahead and get VIDA. Maybe this can help shed some light on the issues. I was able to get the Volvo specific diagnostic faults: Pleas...

Re: "Reduced Engine Power" Limp Mode
Thanks so much.
@volvobro: I'll be looking at that thread more closely.
So guys, while driving, I see that cruise control now does not work... How does this affect or change things?

Re: "Reduced Engine Power" Limp Mode
@volvobro When we are referring to: The connection between the throttle body and wiring harness are we talking about the connector that goes from the car to the throttle body? I think it's six pin, if I'm not mistaken. Whatever it is, it didn't look dirty, and I specifically looked at it, but I will...

Re: "Reduced Engine Power" Limp Mode
Thanks everyone, I am really glad for such forums... ...You all are awesomeness. Okay, It sure sounds like you need a new throttle body, but, fear not, after reading all the nastiness about the Magnetti Marelli ETB, you have the Bosch on your car which is about 500 USD, but no software to be matched...

"Reduced Engine Power" Limp Mode
Hello everyone. I have perused these forums many a time. I am thankful for the advice, help and assistance that the users of the forum have offered and shared. It was appropriate for me to go ahead and ask for help when the many topics I have read over, although relevant, have left me with an unsolv...

Re: Trans software update and adaptation cost ??
Is it true that ANY service that you get done at the dealer that they update your software? Say maybe you get the cheapest possible service and they can update it, which may include the trans as well. Some dealers do oil changes I believe. I think there are even other services that are cheaper. If o...
