It's a month since posting this problem.
Since removing key fob timber I have not had a problem. Seems it doesn't take much to activate immobiliser.
Thanks all.

Re: 2006 V70 Starting problem...no cranking
Thanks for all your input....... I am becoming more convinced that the problem was the 'debris' hanging down from the ignition key. Since removal of same I have not had a problem....famous last words ! Interestingly it does say in the handbook there should be nothing dangling as the immobiliser kick...

Re: Starting problem...please help.
Thanks for that...I will remove all the 'timber' from key fob and see what happens.
Interestingly I had a problem a few months ago with the key ( would not lock doors ) Had to resort to main dealer. Felt an idiot
when he said.....nothing wrong ! Im thinking more 'key fob' as a result.

Re: Starting problem...please help.
Should have added that the battery is relatively new but have not checked any connections.
Thanks.

2006 V70 Starting problem...no cranking
My vehicle is a 2006 V70. 49 times out of 50 the car starts first time. Recently when I turn the ignition I see all the dash lights but just get 'a click'. After making several attempts the engine will spark up....a bit concerning if a trip has to be made and get stuck in the middle of nowhere. As a...

2006 V70 Headlamp Glass.
Due to 'misting' of headlamp glass I would be interested whether anyone has
had cause to buy new glass and where was it sourced and best price.
I realise that a 'scouring kit' is available but past experience is pointing me
towards 'new'.
Thanks in anticipation.

2006 gear shift knob.
Recently a small piece of plastic fell off the top right hand side of my auto gear shift knob. It has left me with a piece of mettle jutting out. I have not pushed or pulled it as I thought I might cock up.
Any ideas,
Thanks.

2006 gear shift knob.
Recently a small piece of plastic fell from the top right hand side of the gear shift.
In it's place now is a piece of metal protruding. I haven't tried to pull or push it in
or out in case I cocked something up.
Any ideas please as to what or why it is.
Thanks.
