Re: Mineral based oil or Synthetic?
My Wolf Head's order got cancelled because their distributor, Motorsports Guys, is currently out of stock. Not knowing when it will be available I ordered a case of Red Line 5W30 High Performance for $124 ($10.30 per quart) from Autoplicity. Including tax Amazon would of cost $141.
...

Re: When it's time to move on (and what did you buy?) Topic is solved

Known of 2 separate 2012 Preus cars needing new engines. Not for oil burning though. One ( my next door neighbor) kept starting with no oil pressure on cold starts. Towed in several different times before total failure of oil pump damaging engine at just over 100K. The other at 130K owned by friend ...

Re: Couple quick questions about an R I want to buy

Someone is using cheap parts. If it’s a flip, avoid it. One tell tale is when title is either new or third party. title before car. Absolutely agree with Abscate and add to his comments: being AWD a extended test drive is a requirement!!!!! No long test drive = no buy... unless you are a Volvo mech...

They even still have a traditional downtown here. Spent the day looking at property and antiquing. Really just enjoying my beloved Volvo and freetime! Here are some pictures of downtown Ft. Smith. June

Re: Mineral based oil or Synthetic?
No doubt Wolf's Head is the cheapest 100% synthetic you can buy. I just ordered 12 quarts for $83.88 total ($6.99 per quart) on Amazon. The only 100% synthetic I can find locally is Amsoil but it costs $13.16 per quart at NAPA. As Orange mentioned synthetic will keep the PCV from clogging. ...

Re: ISO oil additive controversy- maths needed

When my VVT hub was leaking it was the mystery leak I was fearing to be a turbocharger. I'd drive 1000 miles no oil used then poof .25 of a quart would disappear in between a fill up. I check all fluids for level and condition at every fuel fill up. So maybe .50 of a quart in 3000 miles. How often I...

Re: Mineral based oil or Synthetic?

Since I fixed my turbo return line on maybe T5 only the Bavarian Money Waster uses oil in my house now. That’s takes Group VI oil.....a special blend of Group III and IV that is processed in a Volvo engine for 7500 miles. Don't you mean Group VII oil  ? Group III+ Group IV= :?: :? June

Re: Heading out in the morning on a roadtrip in my S80 T6

Went house hunting today and found one I really liked. So having fun looking! The neighborhood has a country club atmosphere and a cool water tower that looks like a golf ball  . Also found this cool snow cone stand. Sure wish they sold these back home in Florida! My S80 is purring like a kitte...
