Re: Please Help with this Popping Noise
SOLVED I replaced the injector with a used eBay one and it sorted the issue out, no more misfiring. I wanted to re-calibrate my one, so I rang up a local injector specialist. They advised me to buy a refurbished one as it cost the same to re calibrate as it involves replacing internal parts and quot...

Re: Please Help with this Popping Noise
Hi again Rick. Could I pick your brain again please.... After fixing the starting issue car starts and runs fine. But when accelerating to around 2k rpm I could hear engine growling with heavy vibration. There is no warning or any messages but scanner picked up misfiring cylinder 5 with DTC 3553 - M...

Re: Diesel D5 Common Fuel Pump Issue
SOLVED! Car is now sorted. The issue I had was...I had not done the priming correctly, therefore there were lots of air in the fuel line. I did the key On and OFF cycle for over 20 times (as advised by Volvo) and then car started straight away. If you remove any fuel system line (like a hose or a ba...

Re: Please Help with this Popping Noise
More good news mate Engine runs without stalling but acceleration would not work. I think the ECU needs long idling time to reset everything by itself? So I'm leaving it to idle for 20 mins or so and check it later. I'll keep you updated.... https://youtu.be/LF_P42Yxeqk Someone suggested that sensor...

Re: Please Help with this Popping Noise
Good news Rick......I replaced an O ring in the injector by myself and tried cranking the engine. No leak from No 5 injector at all and engine is starting for a prolonged short period. https://youtu.be/GpQ53D6HBAg I think I'll have to keep cranking whole day and see what happens. It has started to s...

Re: Please Help with this Popping Noise
Hi Rick Thanks for your reply. Yes I did priming for very long time. I left it for 2 mins and then I turned the key on and off cycle for 20 times. Only after this I could read 55 psi pressure. I think I've found the problem....Did the injector check and as you could see No 5 injector is leaking. Wha...

Re: Please Help with this Popping Noise
Morning Still not starting but I believe we have made some progress, ie scanner is reading better pressures this time and the way engine sounds is positive. I stopped cranking it after an hour of trying cos I was worried of burning the starter motor as I could see smokes coming out of it. Please see...
