I personally had no luck with xc90 strut the bottom of the strut had to be modified to clear cv boot and the xc90 strut put to much camber into the front end .It was very hard to get the lift I did get out of the car in the front suspension .anything more than 2 inches of suspension lift just pushes...

You would need to know the rear spring inside and outside diameter and do some home work but I would say doubtful that this way with a spring cup would work but when theres a will there is a way and there is more info on lifting XC70s ..So start measuring Anyone know if a similar route could be used...
