Thanks for the reply. At this point I am still stumped. A mechanic says the "blender" is at fault and wants to pull out the entire dash to get at the blender, etc. I am told by mechanic it will be a labor intensive job and probably cost me more than the car is valued. Any ideas?

My 1998 S90 is driving everyone nuts. Everything under the hood seems to work... even weighed Freon, etc. compressor works, etc. but... air does not blow inside to the compartment. It just stopped. What is an actuator in this system? Is it a vacuum controlled item and where is it? You can feel cold ...
