Update: in the market for a rebuilt head. I don't want to risk running that sketchy of a head and having to do the whole job over in the near future. Especially since I plan on running a bigger turbo and more boost, I really don't want a higher compression ratio.

Maximum height reduction after machining is listed at 0.0118 inches on my Haynes Repair Manual. The block is also aluminum, if you have to remove that much to get the head straight, I'd replace the block as well. Like the title says, long story short machine shop called a while back saying my head was pretty warped and he believed he would have to shave .020 to make it flat. Perhaps foolishly I told him to go ahead. He recently called back and said he shaved .025-.030. Bottom line, can this be used still? Wh...
