Well... seems like I was able to fix the ABS issue! (Knock on wood...)

I think the car differences should also be noted. I highly doubt the 850 and S70/V70 engine/trans ecus are the same, and I'm sure the mechanicals of the engines/trannys were also updated to improve mileage among other things. For example, I get about 22mpg on my 96 850 auto NA driving like a grandma...

on the 940 engines, the pump relay output on the ecu would often die, so I just soldered inside the ecu to have an always-active fuel pump, as long as the ign switch was in the on position. some may argue about safety here, but compare that to getting a new ecu from the stealership... (pre-ebay days)

so youre saying that if my CEL is on, (say I unplug the MAF or O2 sensor), THEN an ABS code will also show up on the autozone reader?

Doesnt makes sense to me, that while ABS and tracs lights are on, no codes are shown on the cheap autozone reader?

Or is it, like I said, that the cheap readers cant read ABS codes??
