Re: No power to ECC
Thanks guys! I will check it out and post if anything helps. Also, I still can't find the detailed instructions for the door lock trick.

Re: No power to ECC
I checked the fuses. Like I said, it happened 6+ months ago and I did a door lock trick and it came back on and lasted 6+ months. So it isn't blowing a fuse if I got it to work before. Also, I pulled the plugs out of the back of the ECC and tested them with a volt ohm meter with the key on. I tested...

No power to ECC
Hi everyone! I have a 1998 volvo v70 awd fully loaded with electronic climate control. About 6 months ago my ECC unit stopped working. No lights. No fan. Absolutely just no power. I looked long and hard for a solution. I obviously checked fuses and all of the normal stuff. Even disconnecting the bat...

Re: 1998 Volvo V70 passenger side axle replacement
Thanks for the quick response. So dropping the control arm takes a little more effort, but affects the alignment less and won't stretch and damage the strut bolts just to re-interate, right?

1998 volvo v70 passenger side axle replacement
Hi again, so I am in the middle of replacing the passenger side drive cv axle. I see that some people drop the lower control arm from the frame to do the job. In other videos (specifically 1Aauto) he detatches the strut and moves it out of the way to do the job and leaves the control arm alone. Why ...

Re: Has anyone tried 205/60R16 tires on a 98 V70?
UPDATE!!!! I went ahead and put 205/60r16 tires on it. They were a nervous, tight fit, but ended up working great! So to answer my question, 205/60r16tires DO fit on a 1998 V70! The car seems happy too!

Re: Has anyone tried 205/60R16 tires on a 98 V70?
These cars were well designed from the factory. I would be inclined to stay away from modding the car from a "comfort" perspective (if you want to go faster, then mod away). My guess is that if you get the wheels, suspension, and motor mounts back to factory spec you would not need a bigg...

Has anyone tried 205/60R16 tires on a 98 V70?
Hi, new member here. I recently purchased a 1998 V70 AWD with 190,000 miles. I took the car for inspection and everything passed except tires. It had the Michelin Primacy OE tires on it, badly worn. The car also has a very harsh ride, feeling every little bump. As I plan to overhaul the struts, ect,...
