Re: 04 XC Sudden Starting Issue - Topic is solved

Have you been able to go back in the access ports and resolve your issue? Also was it an obvious fix? Sorry I missed this - been away and busy. I am still waiting for weather. No more ice, but now it's pouring down rain and I only do gas tank stuff outside. The gauge stops at half tank and sits the...

Re: exhaust fiberglass and rust - what to replace?

#10 appears to be just a hanger bracket and shouldn't need to come off. The rubber donuts (11) hang off of the pins. I would guess the long exhaust pipe is welded to the muffler. I don't see any sleeve fitting.

Where is the rain sensor? (2004)

Can you tell me where exactly the rain sensor is? Is it on the exterior and senses moisture, or inside the glass looking out? I keep wondering if it's part of the red alarm light bump on the dash. Or the back of the mirror. My '04 XC does pretty random windshield wiping. It might go forever not wipi...

Re: Info on Craigslist Portland Volvo used dealer?

How about a '91 240 wagon, manual, cloth seats, special order, appears in near perfect condition (photos), 138,000mi, $12,900? Seems really high.

Re: Info on Craigslist Portland Volvo used dealer?

Agree on getting VIN and real background. Yes, the address appears to be that of a car stereo shop on a strip in E Portland. The nice photos are taken at some new warehouses north of there closer to the river. If you read the long fine print in his craigslist ads, there is no warranty whatsoever, it...

Cross-posted from 240 Forum - Info on CL Portland Used Dealer?

Posting here for more eyes and current information - Does anyone have any experience with this used Volvo guy in Portland? Does anyone have any experience with this used Volvo guy in Portland? Always posts a lot of nice looking 240s, often hyper-detailed to look like new. Very high asking prices. Curious whether they ever get those prices. Address appears to be out on a strip in Gresham where there isn't anything but a ...

And here I thought they were just big speakers and you turn the amps up to 11 and blast the carbon and gunk right out.
