I have an '89 740 Wagon and have misplaced my key. I have called a locksmith, but they are not able to reverse engineer a key.
Im to the point I'm pretty sure I need a new ignition cylinder, and I have looked locally, but have not had much luck.
I have seen them on Ebay, but if by chance someone ...

Re: No LED flasing in slot 2 OBD. Slot 6...Yes. 740gl
Im pretty sure I recall hearing the IAC working, when I was able to run OBD tests.
I could hear the pump and injectors, I know that for sure. It seemed everything that was supposed to make noise..did....I THINK.
Im at a standstill and waiting for parts. Maybe now would be a good time to remove ...

So, just a drop in fuel pressure...not an issue, but check valve or an injector issue.
Early on I started checking vacuum lines, when finding a -small- amount of gas (not a huge spray when running though, I tried) are the Fuel pressure regulator. I replaced it with new.
Two FPR references get ...

Re: No LED flasing in slot 2 OBD. Slot 6...Yes. 740gl
I had seen that site before, Ive been trying to use and interpret the codes, but can be rather vague. As well, some symptoms may cause false readings in other components. I believe a too lean too rich code may or may NOT be the O2 sensors cause for fault...it could be a fuel issue causing an out of ...

No, seems quite solid. Im no body builder but it seems it would take a lot of effort to turn it or break it.

Re: Super easy ECT removal 3 minutes
That connector looks odd.
On one side says Volvo 1362645
The other says SWF Germany 601 607
The plastic plug part is wider than 3/4, maybe 13/16ths.
I just had it in the freezer for about 30 minutes and it seemed to level out at what I believe is 14100 Ohms.
I don't think there is anything ...

Re: Super easy ECT removal 3 minutes
Sorry ignorant question. ...
This is at about room tempreture. Would this read as 2410 ohms?
If so that should be within spec?

Re: Super easy ECT removal 3 minutes
Maybe my plug is aftermarket but I couldn't get a socket to fit. The connector is in the way of the flats.
Nope, it says Volvo on it...?
