Man, it is NOT possible for valves to stick upon. Were the valves open when you had the head off? Bottom line is, when the crank is set on time, you can rotate the cams around 360 degrees. thanks everyone for your input. the valves in cylinder #5 are stuck open! thus causing the piston to hit the valves when rotating the engine a quarter of turn.
