I've suspected fuel pressure with the start issues as well. But have yet to get a test tool.

The "blow by cause" was mostly to what I've seen with the motor oil. Believe it or not PCV is still fine

While changing spark plugs yesterday, I did a compression test, with the following results:
1: 190psi
2: 190psi
3: 190psi (a bit sluggish to get to 190, started on 170)
4: 150psi

I did the "pour a bit of motor oil into the cylinder"-test on number 4 and the pressure shot right up, indicating a bad ...

I need to replace my front brake shields, as they are rusted to the point of falling apart.

I ended up asking a Volvo parts store here in DK: in case any one happens to stumble across this thread looking for the info, the bottom left of the plate has a six digit number, where the first two is your suspension code :)

I am trying to figure out how to decipher my V40 suspension codes from the product ID plate. I've been able to find examples of various types of plates - IDP has a good guide - but nothing that looks like the plate in my V40.

Do any of you know any resources that can be of help?
