Ok, good point about ECT sensor. Although I have checked the sensor via ELM-obd2 interface and it seems to work.

there's no fluctuation of the gauge whatsoever. once it get's to slightly above 3 o'clock it stays there.
it's only in scanmaster-elm software that i could see temperature changing from 95-100 back and forth, etc.

97 854GLT 127K miles I was checking the temperature via ELM OBD2 reader. I put in a new thermostat 87C one from Calorstat.
