Well on my trip home the sluggish accel started again and the CEL came back on. The code is P0171 system too lean bank 1.

I also forgot to mention that I have changed the injectors (grean giants). The sluggishness was present before and after the change.

Well the CEL came on again yesterday driving home. I replaced the fuel filter, it was the original. It seems better however it seemed better after I replaced the other components. I cleared the light and will give it another day and see what happens...

This link has a good 'how to' on boost controllers for Volvo turbos. With the ECU controlling the boost you may not get what you want with a MBC.
