I gave the shifter handle a couple of medium taps with my hand and the key would come out and works fine now. As posted, the cable from the shifter to the steering column can get gunked up and not fully allow the key to turn completely to the off position.

Thank you all for the helpful advise. Klaus, I'm not sure what RMS stands for. I plan on transferring as much of the wiring harnesses as necessary to make everything work. I am planing to swap the engine from the 850T into my 1973 Triumph TR6 making it longitudinal instead of transverse. The rest of the 850 is pretty trashed. Coil on plug conversion for distributor cars?
I would like to get rid of the distributor on both my 1994 850 and 1998 V70. Can anyone advise me on the process and parts needed to make this kind of conversion? Will I need to change the head, ECU, ainstll a crank trigger wheel, or???
