My 94 turbo 850 does not show any fuel. I pulled the sending unit and it is a cylinder. Is this my problem?

How do you remove the wires off of the fuel level sender? I don't want to lower my tank, but want to check the sender and the wires are preventing me from pulling it out.

My 94 850 Turbo had a similar problem after it warmed up, it began to stall. Eventually found the code for Throttle Position Sensor (OBDII). Replaced the sensor, no more problems with stalling.
