i have the same problem with my 2k4 xc90 with 2.5t, low compression on #3 cylinder dealer said chipped valve, and not sure what to do with car as well. mine has 215k miles on it I'm sorry to hear yours has issues as well! Mine has 243 I believe on the odo. Hope there's a good solution for yours!

Since my 2004 XC90 had the code pop up for the 3rd cylinder it turns out there's no compression on cylinder 3. The exhaust valve is burnt so it's not holding compression. Yes I was wrong. It is ECM 3533 that is still coming up along with 3503.

One code is gone, now we have two left. ECM 3503 and ECM 3535 is still coming up.
Been working on this intermittently so sorry if this isn't helpful for others as of yet.

I think we figured it out. The turbo inlet hose for the turbo on the bottom is cracked. It's the portion where it couples up that appears to be cracked and not staying attached. We're going to replace it with Part #121445 from IPD since it's silicone and will last longer. If anyone needs this inform...

He's pulling the turbo all apart. Apparently, some of the hoses that go from the turbo to the engine and vice versa I assume are falling apart in his hands, so this is one possibility.
