I see that the clamps are doing damage to the hose to the inline external transmission filter already. Thanks for the heads up. I usually use "fuel injection hose clamps" to prevent that. But this is hopefully a temporary setup until I can figure out how to best route everything and keep the filter ...

Update on my Saab 9-3 with the clogged filter. After getting it running in November it stopped working correctly. It would shift into 1, 2 and Reverse. No higher no matter what I tried. Took the valve body out of the transmission and cleaned all the solenoids. They were all gunky like these pictured ...

Also in Vermont. Also in the Semi-Conductor Equipment field. Also have an Aisin AW55 transmission. Also with issues with it. But on a 2003 Saab 9-3. Right now it works but is stuck in 2nd gear. Reverse works and 2nd. That's it.

Well now it's not working again but at least it moves. I got 60 miles of driving with it. But now it's stuck in 2nd gear and transmission errors P0731 and P0733 and P0734 1st, 3rd and 4th gear range errors.
