Does the CEM control the fuel guage too?

ETA: From what I can find online, the CEM is under the dash in my car. How would that get wet if I don't have other indications of water leakage like wet carpets?

Not likely the fob battery because the door locks don't respond to the door button.

I had something like that happen after I had the rack replaced on my 02 S60. Turned out that the power steering pump was bad. They looked at the universals first and then realized that the pump wasn't pumping. New pump and all is good.

So my guy took a look at it and told me that the pump is bad. Ok, that's not what the hive mind said.

He replaced the pump and the knuckle in the steering column and voila the steering is wunnerful again.

My guy is going to look at it on Monday. I'll report back.

No, the problems haven't gotten worse. I'm not sure if it was a reman. rack or not.
