Is the mirror tied to the siren?

I have purchased a siren for my 2001 V70 T5 and am going to attempt to install in the car within a couple of weeks. The information from Volvo is that I will have to reprogram to car via dealer or VADIS/VIDA. Can I reprogram via the later (this site)?

When I pulled the fuse for the alarm(only way to stop it from sounding) I did not at that time loose my sunroof. That only happened when my battery ran down and was left that way unattended for a couple of weeks and then I removed battery to recharge and test the battery. battery tested bad replaced...

I not only have lost use of my sunroof it has started rattling very badly. Can I safely try these above repairs and if one works not cause any more damage to my sunroof?
