Re: Loving new to me V50 T5 AWD. 136K. Now spooked abrupt noise I've never heard
Sounds like you have a handle on the right upper motor mount. For sure get that replaced, easy repair, common issue. Just did one, customer had a noise when the car was on a turn leaving the driveway. They are filled with a fluid that leaks out when the rubber fails and this creates a metal to metal...

Re: V50 T5 AWD with sluggish throttle response and lack of power.
I can only speak to the throttle problem where it takes off rather jerky. Where you need to be real careful and slow in applying the throttle. Had this happen on a 2011 v50 2.5. Tried a few things, nothing showed up on Vida. Ended up being that the throttle body needed to be cleaned. After removal a...

Re: Bumper Cover Repair Question
Well it comes down to what "visually" you can live with. The new damage is in a area that has been previously repaired and not the original surfaces. Yes you should seal the damage as water will probably cause further issues. The yellow in the pic's is going to be a filler that might not b...

Re: 2007 S40 leakin rian inside
Pulling the trim is were to start. I have done this repair on many S 40's. Here are some hints. Unless your good at not breaking retainer clips you might get a new upper clip for the repair. Second the hose comes out of the rubber drain tube near the glass because it shrinks in length over time. For...

Re: 04 Volvo XC90 6 Cylinder Stalls While Driving and Idling
I think you need to find out why the signal is at zero grams a sec. The motor will still run with a dirty MAF. It could be covered with oil and dirt and still run. The signal is dropping out and that's were you should be focusing your energy. Clean or dirty. it should have a signal

It was stated there was a "thread count" difference, as in not as many. This says nothing concerning the TPI or threads per inch. He states there is less thread not a change in pitch. So ruining the head comment is not applicable. Ideally the threads should not enter the combustion camber ...

Re: Timing mark problems 2004.5 s40 t5
Yes those covers need to be removed. They are there to provide info on cam location when the engine runs. They are the trigger device that the sensors above them read. I referenced your ". I don't understand though how can the cam gears move so much?" at the end of my reply. In short if th...

Re: Timing mark problems 2004.5 s40 t5
As stated there is a special tool and the job requires it. If the pulleys are in the right position and only a belt is being put on, no seals, then no need for tool. Since it's been mucked up previously the pulleys could be on wrong. Tool is needed to loosen sprocket bolts and hold cams upon tighten...
