Re: Dead Instrument Cluster, HVAC and Power Seats
Thanks for the detailed reply. The dealer told me that the fuse was removed which doesn't make sense. The fuse didn't just jump out. So far so good. This is my son's car and he hasn't informed me of any issues since getting it back...other than the gas gauge is always on E! then he asks for $20 to f...

Re: Dead Instrument Cluster, HVAC and Power Seats
Update: Picked up the car from the dealer and paid the $330-10%. Got in the car and BOOM! All gauges, heater controls, and power seats work. The odometer and clock went all Matrix on me for a minute, but it all works. No reflash or replacement parts installed. Now I am second guessing what to do. Re...

Re: Dead Instrument Cluster, HVAC and Power Seats
Thanks for all the help everyone! Anyhoo...took the car to the dealer and they said there is a direct short in the CEM. Just to be helpful to others that search this site I will let you know how the repair goes. The stealership wants $1630 to replace and reprogram the CEM. I will be sending it out t...

Dead Instrument Cluster, HVAC and Power Seats
I have a 2004 S60 2.5T automatic 2 wheel drive. All at once the instrument cluster, all HVAC controls, and power seats died. This happened after a jump start. The fuses are all good and I suspect it is the computer. Has anyone run across this? I pulled the instrument cluster and looked at the solder...

Re: Stuck in Park
Update: I was able to pull the side cover from just below the console gaining access to the pivot point. With the seat slid all the way back you can get a pretty good view. (Future image when I figure out how) I did a heavy shot of electrical cleaner in the pivot point followed by some lubricant. Th...

Re: Stuck in Park
Thanks for the reply. I did exactly that at first (pumping the brakes) and thought the solenoid was sticking. I even pulled the shift knob off and drove around like that for a day. (Not recommended due to the possibility of shifting from drive to reverse by accident) My problem is 100% the key safet...

Stuck in Park
Newbie here posting for the first time. Bought my first Volvo (2006 S60 T5 LOADED!) about 2 months ago and I love it. So much so, my daughter bought a 2004 2.5T last week. I have had an issue for the last few mornings with my 2006 S60 T5 (Automatic) sticking in park but for the life of me I could no...
