Re: Removing rear struts from my S60?

I thought there was only 3 bolts.

X2 on checking out the FCP video. It’s very detailed.

*I take it back. AWD is different. Can you get the shock cylinder bolt off without removing the mount?

HVAC fan stuck on low setting

Just as the title says, the fan speed is stuck in a low position. It’s either notch 2 or 3. If you try turning it up, it’ll go from 3 to 2 then back to 3.

Before I go any further, does this sound like the blower motor resistor or something else?

Thanks.

Valve body cover gasket replacement

While performing an oil change yesterday, I saw the bottom of the transmission had some slight weeping at the valve body cover. Has anyone successfully done this repair without having to remove the transmission. It's my understanding that a gasket can be purchased to make things easier whereas Volvo...

Re: Steering feel on turns

“Had to recheck. The strut itself (no spring) is interchangeable between S60 and S80.” After thinking about this if the struts are the same size then there would be no change to the camber angle. The only difference would be the spring and it’s tension to change how stiff the ride would feel. Agree...

Re: Steering feel on turns

I bought them on FCP and they show that they’d aren’t the same. I can’t believe that they aren’t interchangeable. Everything else is. Had to recheck. The strut itself (no spring) is interchangeable between S60 and S80. They don’t have the quick strut (with spring) in stock for my 02 S60 so I can’t ...

Re: Steering feel on turns

Check FCP’s fitment list on the Sachs quick struts. Looks like the P2 S80 is on the list.

My guess is sub frame bushings. You’ve replaced everything else and now they are showing their signs of wear.
