Check Engine light at 76K miles - Advice Needed, Please
I received my first check engine warning on my '17 V90 CC. First, I had some trouble communicating with the iCarSoft tool and the ECU but finally found a message about cylinder 1 misfire. I thought there would be something pointing to the emissions(?). I cleared the message but do I need to be conce...

P3 XC70 - Fuel Tank Shield - Which part is right?
My passenger-side fuel tank shield got snagged on a metal road construction plate and bent it downwards. I tried to bend it back up but I'm afraid it's going to snag on something again. I asked the local Volvo dealer for the part and he told me it is Part# 30793512 which is a heat shield. I'm trying...

2009 XC70 I6 T6 - Buying Advice
Hi All, My mechanic is selling an '09 XC70 T6 (3.0L) with 156K miles. It's in great shape and rides well. I DID notice a "whine" that sounds like it's coming from the drivetrain. He said it's most likely the differential and shouldn't be an issue. I've heard that others have heard this sam...

Sorry for the typos. I meant limp-home mode and my mechanic reset everything.

Re: 2004 S60 2.5T - SRS-00D5,SRS-E003
Thanks!! I’ll give it a try. Three weeks earlier, the car went into limp-hole mode, with the gauges dead and no hazard lights or turn signals. The reset everything with his scan tool and tried to replicate the problem but returned the car to me after a few days because he found nothing. Is it a reas...

2004 S60 2.5T - SRS-00D5,SRS-E003
Using an iCarSoft 906 I read the codes to determine why I was getting the SRS warning light. Received SRS-00D5 (SRS indicator lamp. Signal missing) and SRS-E003 (Configuration fault. Faulty configuration) I haven't tried to reset the code yet. Any idea as to how severe this is? I don't know if this ...

I would never have suspected the battery as a cause. Thank you, I will check that as well.

Re: '04 S60 2.5T - Limp Home Mode
Update. So, I dropped off the car at the Volvo specialist. He used the scan tool to reset the car and then kept the car for 7 days. They ran it through a battery of tests, including the CEM. They also drove it for about 50 miles. Nothing happened. So, I brought the car home and it was fine for about...
