Re: What did you do to your Volvo today? (now Sticky!!)

I re-used the junction box, it wasn’t damaged. I just gutted out the crumbled connection pieces and ran new tubing thru the holes. It sealed itself

Re: Ignition/Lock Cylinder Replacement Tutorial

I like this last idea above of drilling out the guts of the locking collar and just not have a steering lock since my car is a 91 and not worth stealing. but if drilling out the guts, will that damage the rod that goes thru to the ignition switch? if not, this is the way I'm going.

Re: Rear Brake Light failure 2001 S60

Take small cuts of cardboard and sandwich them together and put them in between the offending relay to keep it tight and snug in there. I had the same problem and that's what I did. no more "Check Brake Light" headaches.

Re: 1993 240 Bad Ignition Switch?

Take the shifter assembly out and clean it. it's probably packed with dirt and gunk and the connection is hampered. re-install. should be good.

Re: 1983 242DL installed 100amp Denso alt. and now it won

No. the idea he was telling you about "then run a wire from battery and touch that little nut on solenoid." will start the car. The idea here is that of jumping the system. You'll see sparks. If you somehow managed to leave that wire connected it would keep running the starter and burn it...
