Losing 0.1v to/from Accelerator Pedal Sensor- where's it going and how to find it?
So in my previous post , I was having trouble figuring out why my car is stuck in limp mode. Car is a 2004 S80 2.5L Turbo with FWD Since then, I've checked it out with VIDA, and discovered that the P2126 /P2127 error is actually a result from an issue surrounding the Accelerator Pedal Position Senso...

Re: Persistent Engine Performance Issue- even after major fixes
With the onboard diagnostic - are all reports coming back with "set" (the pictures show only some of them - what of the others?) I am looking for ETM - which is not shown in photos. Also you want them to read "ready" http://mr-fix.info/volvo-hidden-menu-dtc-check/ As I understan...

Re: Persistent Engine Performance Issue- even after major fixes
It might even be worth getting a cheap copy yourself and set it up on an old laptop, it's not too hard.. just don't change the configuration of the laptop once it's installed and running. I don't have that much money as is- I'm a college student; these replacement parts alone set me back quite a bi...

Re: Persistent Engine Performance Issue- even after major fixes
If still an issue then the ECM needs to be removed and terminal corrosion checked there and in the throttle connector. Using a tutorial, I disconnected the battery's negative cable, switched the car to Pos 2, and pressed the brake. I read this would discharge residual power. After waiting a while, ...

Re: Persistent Engine Performance Issue- even after major fixes
turn key to Pos II and wait over 45 seconds for the throttle sensor calibration to happen. You will hear throttle cycle twice. Inserted key, turned to Pos 2- engine bay clicked and whirred a few times (the calibration, I assume). Turned on car thereafter, and the Reduced Engine Performance message ...

Persistent Engine Performance Issue- even after major fixes
Long time no see, MVS squad. Got a new problem on my hands that I can't make heads or tails of even after research and fixes. Car is a 2004 S80, 2.5L Turbo, FWD. This week began with a seemingly innocuous flag. I would start my car from a cold start, and get the dreaded message saying Reduced Engine...

Re: 2004 S80 2.5.T AWD - Tight turns lead into Stall- tie rods to blame?
The apparent stall might be the ABS/Traction system killing the engine output- Two possibilities are a damaged ABS sensor wire that's either open or shorting as you turn the wheels, or a chunk of rust from one of the rotors came loose and is interfering with one of the wheel sensors. Inspect the wi...

Re: 2004 S80 2.5.T AWD - Tight turns lead into Stall- tie rods to blame?
Was what QAC said about the tie rod ends preventing 100% alignment correct? Yes, it can be. Bad tie rod ends generally give loose steering. What did they do that would leave the steering so "loose" afterwards? I don't think anyone could say for sure here. They might have damaged them slig...

2004 S80 2.5.T AWD - Tight turns lead into Stall- tie rods to blame?
Long time no see, MVS crew. I'm back with yet another issue. About 3 weeks ago, I went into a Quality Auto Center (QAC) shop near me for a wheel alignment. The wheel alignment was performed, yet after about a week, I noticed the alignment was still off- I had to hold the wheel at an angle to drive s...
