Re: Evap purge valve location
Wish someone would reply. My daughter is moving to her college dorm this Sunday. I'd like to try to fix this on Friday, but am nervous. I don't want to start and not be able to finish, and have a potential sitting car. Ty to anyone that can shed some light.

Re: Evap purge valve location
How DIFFICULT was this purge valve to remove and replace? What tools will I need? After removing all the crap off the top of the engine, can it be accessed easy enough without having to remove the air filter box? I have to do my daughters very soon. Should anything else be replaced while replacing t...

Re: Air Cleaner Assembly - Vacuum Leak
So it turns out, we needed to replace the turbo pipes going across the engine. They both had vacuum leaks. Also, replaced the PCV oil trap and some other vacuum lines, and cleaned the Throttle Control Module. Replaced the intercooler hose to the turbo pipe, too. Cleaned the MAF (then ended up replac...

Re: Air Cleaner Assembly - Vacuum Leak
Well I cleaned it while plugged in. I think the part that’s glued to it is actually attached to the car’s electrical system. Is there a way I can post a picture of it on here? Seems to still be symptomatic. Will def replace pcv. What, exactly, do I need to order if I want to tackle this myself? Can’...

Re: Air Cleaner Assembly - Vacuum Leak
OK so it appears that the connector to the mass airflow sensor was previously glued closed because it may have snapped off at some point. Is it safe for me to clean the mass airflow sensor if I just go through the air filter box and not unplug it because there’s no way to unplug it

Re: Air Cleaner Assembly - Vacuum Leak
I also already replaced the Turbo Control Valve that’s suits along side the air filter box. Thats probably how the box got knocked out of place. I didn’t notice it until I started looking around more yesterday.

Re: Air Cleaner Assembly - Vacuum Leak
It failed. Blew up.
Those are the codes my OBD2 reader pulled.
I think Volvo Service said her car doesn’t have a fuel pressure sensor. I have it written down somewhere, but I’m pretty sure he said that for her year and model.

Re: Air Cleaner Assembly - Vacuum Leak
I checked the box to the air filter last night and it was not connected properly from the bottom. The air intake was loose from the bottom of it. I secured it as best as I could. I only have an OBD2 reader and tried it again. Two of the codes disappeared. The two codes left are P2188 & P2190. (S...
