Re: 2004 S80 2.5T - build/upgrade/maintenance thread

Sick post, thanks for sharing. I have a 06' S80 that is near identical in body styling to this one, but in dark blue. Been doing a lot of preventative maintenance on mine (Trans oil, PCV, spark plugs, timing belt, various oil seals, TCV) but haven't touched the performance side yet. Where did you g...

2004 S80 2.5T - build/upgrade/maintenance thread

Hey, Folks! I purchased this Volvo back in October, after the hurricane sent a tree into my garage and totaled out my W210 (original owner, so sad). I used some of the insurance funds to purchase a 2004 Volvo S80 2.5T. It was a one-owner car from a few miles up the road, complete service history and...

Yes, I think I'll do that. My new housing + flange arrived, need to get the billet wheel on the compressor and start prepping up for the install in the coming weeks!

Re: Car just threw 15 codes

It has also become a hobby of mine. Good luck with the wheel refurb :) Respect that you took the time to look through all pages! Absolutely, I wish there were more folks that documented repairs and upgrades like that! I need to get a thread going up for my vehicle and the progress - lots of work do...

Re: Car just threw 15 codes

Looks good! I think the Pegasus wheels will work better on your S80 if they are a tad darker (anthracite / gunmetal). I like the facelift grill, looks better than the prefacelift grille imho. I'm currently using H7r HIDs and they work better than LEDs imho, I also tried LED, but the light image was...

Re: Car just threw 15 codes

Obvious next question: we need pictures hahah Happy to oblige! I've attached two pictures to this post (hopefully did that right!). I've also switched all of my interior bulbs out with canbus-compliant LED bulbs - huge difference in appearance and function. I've also replaced the H7 low-beam headli...

Yes, sir! I've got 3 more coils and plugs to install this weekend - also got my 18x8 pegasus wheels in and tires mounted. Hoping to sand those down and refinish in the next few weeks. S80 is coming along nicely!

Re: Car just threw 15 codes

Problem solved! Tossed on 2 different coils for the affected cylinders and loaded up on the dielectric grease. Replacement set for all 5 arrives tomorrow and I’ll do plugs, too.

Car just threw 15 codes

Was driving back from a work function tonight. It's been raining heavily the last 2 days here, so maybe some water got splashed in an area it shouldn't? But, here's my list of codes - they're plentiful! bcm-e000 bcm-0100 ddm-002b cem-1a59 cem-1a5f cem-1a62 ecm-e000 ecm-9400 ecm-928c ecm-3503 ecm-354...

Re: Parts Compatibility - DOWNPIPE!

I always use synthetic. I dont know what has been used before I owned the car. This car is fairly new to me (about 6 weeks), but as soon as weather improves, I'll be swapping fluids - from looking at the dipstick, I believe that my car was given to me with conventional oil. Amsoil replacement ASAP!...
