Re: 2008 XC90 3.2L V6 misfires, fuel level sensor, Cat bank 1
I'm still here! Just working this issue. The fuel pressure gauge I rented had 10 adapters in it, but none for the XC90. There is a used import dealer in next town over who is closed on the weekends with a service department, I'm going to get it checked there tomorrow providing they have a gauge that ...

Re: 2008 XC90 3.2L V6 misfires, fuel level sensor, Cat bank 1
I apologize but I cannot find the fuel pressure port. Under the hood I see the rail with the fuel pressure sensor on the right side and on the Left end there's only a torx head screw threaded into the rail. I followed the hard fuel line down under the car until it transferred into what looks like ...

Re: 2008 XC90 3.2L V6 misfires, fuel level sensor, Cat bank 1
I stopped and picked up a MAF sensor on the way home, just in case. I unplugged the MAF sensor and started the XC90. It ran rough but I took it out for a spin. It threw up 5 different codes, all related to the MAF being unhooked. All the misfire codes were still gone after 30 miles! When I got back ...

Another update, I rented a compression tester and cylinders 4, 5, 6 all are around 190psi.

Re: 2008 XC90 3.2L V6 misfires, fuel level sensor, Cat bank 1
These are both great ideas! Thanks! I will unplug the MAF when I get home tonight and take it for a spin. I may replace the thermostat also since they are usually simple repairs (and this vehicle is over 150k!).
I just remembered I took pics of the last two time it had freeze frame data!

I've been banging my head on this car for a couple months now, so lemme lead with a BIG thanks for any help.
Our 2008 XC90 with 156k miles recently had two ignition coils just burn up, explode. I replaced them with two from AutoZone they had to order in. I did the repairs on the side of the road ...
