Re: P0171 System Running lean
Well in that case the code never goes away, the only reason it goes away is because you have cleared it manually but it comes back within minutes. You still have a leak somewhere.. Looking at the picture above mine was in the lower section. Your Air gets sucked in through the upper intake manifold (...

Re: P0171 System Running lean
The bad gasket that I found was on the air intake that faces the engine block. I was spraying the upper section which some of that cleaner got into the lower section and started to act up. The code went away and has not returned since.
In your case when the code comes back how long does it stay on?

I fixed the issue. Actually it was a bad gasket on the lower intake facing the cylinder head.

P0171 System Running lean
HI All, I am back hammering at this issue. So I took some carb cleaner again and went to town. From different angles spraying around the intake manifold I noticed that the engine wants to stall during the heavy spray. Please see video below. Re: vacuum pump circuit for brake servo shorting out

Also after install when I turned on the engine it immediately came on and stayed on until I pressed the brake for the first time. After that it comes on only when I press the brake down. You do mention th...

Re: vacuum pump circuit for brake servo shorting out
Hi there. After examining the vacuum pump I have noticed that it never comes on. And as soon as you tap the brake the fuse blows immediately. After replacing it with a refurbished vacuum pump the issue has gone away.

vacuum pump circuit for brake servo shorting out
Hi All, I am hoping to find an answer to a mystery that I have been looking into for over a week now. I have a 2006 Volvo S40 2.4i with a little but over 132K miles on it. About a week ago my check engine light came on, I looked at the code and it told me that both HO2 Sensors 1 and 2 are bad. I ord...
