Most are OK except the small turbo coolant hose https://www.ipdusa.com/products/6288/114217-turbo-coolant-return-hose behind and under the driver side turbo charger. That was the most difficult hose ...

Re: S80 - New voltage regulator kills alternator

I have S80 T6 148,940 miles. Alternator bearing was making noise. I took it to Pequea Alternator Shop in Lancaster, PA and they replaced the bearing, regulator and cleanned/sanded rings etc for $102.24 Shop has been in business for many years and they stand behind their work. Better than buying a wh...

How did you restore the interior seats? They look beautiful. My 2002 S80 driver seat is all cracked. Did you go to a upholstery shop? How much is it per seat? Can you sell me the leather skin?

Re: 2002 S60 n/a Crankshaft Position Sensor Bracket Replacement

What lead you to a broken senor bracket? I have 2002 S80 that has rare intermittent cold start problems for several years that dealers and shops could not fix because they could not replicate the problem. Car always start while in the shop. Car finally threw RPM sensor fault. I inspected sensor and ...

Hi abdomar528,

Thank you for the great write up. What lead to the turbo replacement and how did you diagnose it? How many miles do you have on your S80T6?

I have 2002 S80 T6 with 142,000 miles.

Re: 2000 S80 T6 - Replacing Engine Mounts

I just replaced the upper engine mount in my 2002 S80 T6 with 103,000 miles with powerflex (http://powerflexusa.com/) polyurethane mount. Initially, I had more vibrations at idle. I then examine the mount and notice the arms of the bracket were squeezing the sides of the mount. I then installed addi...
