Either a faulty supply or loose connection that activates the solenoid (from ignition switch) or a faulty or loose connection in the heavy current circuit (battery to starter).

Has the heater blank where your heater cables go through the firewall been disturbed?

If the metal blank in the firewall has been moved then engine fumes can easily get into the cabin.

Apart from poor fuel economy, if your crankcase cannot breath freely, then there is the real risk of the crankcase being pressurised and blowing a real oil seal.

This can be very expensive to repair.

If you lift the bonnet 4 valve/cylinder engines (i.e. 20 valve engines) can be easily identified as prominently displayed, in raised lettering, on the camshaft cover is '20 valve'.

Looks simple on VADIS - so it's off to the garage after I finish this cup of coffee to have a go at removing the foglight.

I guess I'll soon know if VADIS really does contain the good oil.
