Re: All Turn Signal lamps solid, not blinking 2000 V70

Try your hazard switch. If all 4 corners blink, then there is a problem with the stalk switch. I suspect the relay, part of the hazard switch, is the problem.

Re: I didnt put it in time!

If the head is off, just align the crank. No problem.

Re: 1996 850 boost pressure into crankcase/ one way valve.

I think the whole system was designed in 93 for na cars and they never bothered to improve it for pressurized intake. Volvo maby used the money to change to five lug wheels. The NA engines do not have a PCT, the vacuum line from the #1 cylinder area goes to the PCV and the intake just before the th...

Re: 1996 850 boost pressure into crankcase/ one way valve.

I don't know why I have to say this, but boost pressures the intake manifold, not the crankcase.

Re: 1996 850 boost pressure into crankcase/ one way valve.

When under full boost, the intake manifold pressure is positive to 12psi, so the small PCV line from the cyl 1 area to the PTC should be positively charged. But the amount of air passing through the air intake to the turbo creates enough vacuum to draw air from the large line to the PCT that it will...

Re: Any thoughts on the bad boy of Volvo's the C70 coupe?

Fortunately, most of the coupes came with the high pressure turbo (T5). Unfortunately, very few are 5 speed with a clutch. Everything behind the firewall, except drivetrain, are unique to the C70. Doors, windows, and seats are problematic with parts hard to find and little expertise from other shade...

Re: 1998 V70XC P0304 (Cylinder 4 Misfire) Under Hard Acceleration

Seems that most of your driving is at low rpm. Try driving in 2nd around town, keeping the rpms above 2000, to clean off the valves. Besides, it makes for a lot of fun driving!

I am surprised that the CEL blinked, that usually only happens when more than one cylinder is misfiring.

Re: Volvo S70 not starting - Hissing sound near fuel filter

If the gas is flowing back to the tank rapidly, then at your next start attempt: turn the key to position II and listen for the fuel pump. When the fuel pump stops, move the key back to O, then forward to pos II again. Do this one more time and you should have fuel and pressure, enough to start the ...
