Re: 1999 S70 "AWD" Rescue Thread

Project is moving forward. Got the car washed and waxed. New wiper blades. Did a littler interior cleaning. Ordered sparkplugs, fuel filter, air filter, and cabin air filter to complete the tune up. Also picked up some decent used license plate brackets. Painted them black for rust prevention. Remov...

Re: This Holiday Weekend... Make sure you refresh your brakes...

Noticed rear rotors on the AWD are grooving a bit. Can hear rear rotor dragging on the T5, but that may just be from sitting. Should probably do rear brake refreshes on both, but knowing me I'll just put it off until the next long weekend. I have a seized caliper, planning to replace it soon. Should...

Re: Parts to pull off a 98 non-turbo wagon for a 2000 S70 turbo Topic is solved

Hubs and axles are definitely different between 98 and 00, will not swap at all. Almost all interior is the same (although wagon and sedan have different rear seats), brake parts all the same, wheels the same. Not much else swaps. I could have sworn last I looked it up when parting a 99, 98 through...

Mechanical wise, I believe brakes, hub, and axles, are the same between 98 and 2000.

If you decide to part it, pm me. There's some parts I've been looking for for far too long now.

Thanks I appreciate it but what happens if it doesn't work does it do any damage
It will either solve your problem for a while, or tell you you need a new steering rack. Recommend ATP-205.

Re: 1999 S70 "AWD" Rescue Thread

Put down some white paper towels to catch leaks. Heater core installed is a Behr. Will monitor. When I did my latest core, I didn't drain the system prior to removing the core. I put a heavy-duty contractor black bag under the core and collected it all on the driver's side. Didn't spill a drop. Fou...

Pin Map for Headlight Switch

I consulted my wiring diagrams for the headlights, but none of them really go into what pins on the headlight switch go where, other then the few used by the headlights. Does anyone have a map for all the wires running to/from the headlight switch?

Re: 1999 S70 "AWD" Rescue Thread

I just don't get how you can do that bad of a job. If I was going to do it wrong, I would have just shaved a little insulation off of the wires, wrapped the harness wires around it, then tapped everything up and call it good. This is just over doing it sooo wrong. After fixing that mess, I now no lo...

Re: Anyone use a cordless ratchet for your maintenance?

I've been thinking about getting one for a while now. Looks like it would save a lot of time versus swinging that ratchet back and forth. Just not sure I do enough work to justify the price of one.

Aftermarket Conical Filter Reccomendations

I need to replace the filter that is currently on the ram air intake installed by the PO. I'm not a fan of oiled cotton filters and would like to find a cellulose / paper based filter to replace it. Unfortunately, I've been coming up pretty empty. I need a flanged filter with and ID on the flange of...
