Re: Wire connection???? Topic is solved
It seems unusual that it has the ports for fog lights, did they get removed at some point?

Rear suspension bushings, thoughts?
Has anyone gotten into their rear suspension and changed bushings? I was changing the E-brake shoes and did some inspecting and found some bushings that look like they could warrant replacement. I see that IPD sells a complete kit with Volvo brand bushings for about $700. Has anyone dropped the rear...

Re: Ball Joints, Control Arms, Struts
Good call on the control arms and ball joints, I just went through the same thing as you probably know. It's amazing how great these cars are when they've got the correct parts installed! My aftermarket control arm were doing the same thing after 6 months. Serviceable used OEM parts should last you ...

Re: Noise on accelerating left turn....wheel bearing? Topic is solved
Boy do I feel stupid! Turns out it was the power steering fluid level, when it's on low a long left turn, the pump will starve of fluid because of the lateral design of the reservoir. I should have known! The noise sounded major and had me worried about something more serious like a wheel bearing or...

Noise on accelerating left turn....wheel bearing? Topic is solved
For about the past 4 months I've been experiencing a noise that occurs when I am turning left and accelerating, like on an onramp or normal left turn from a traffic light. Turning and coasting doesn't make the noise, only while accelerating and turning left. I would describe the noise as: buzzing li...

Re: AOD/ DEM quit today
Well this is strange.......the pump seems to have come back to life on its own! I was planning on putting the Volvo pump in it today but the Dorman started working again about 4 days ago and appears to have fixed itself. I don't really feel like lying on my back in the garage today so I think I'll j...

Re: Problem with Aftermarket Control Arms.
So here's the lower control arm that was hitting the subframe after 6 months, also the ball joints that were so cheap that the fasteners ( nut on bottom) rounded when I tried to loosen it and had to use a pipe wrench. I think the actual ball joint was made of the same material and wore out in less t...

Lower control arm and Ball Joint replacement with pictures
I just finished installing my Lower Control Arms and did new Ball Joints at the same time. I've read on several post of people taking several days to do this job so I thought I would provide some tips to make the job more doable and easy for those contemplating it. A little history: I replaced these...

Re: Clunk when cold engaging drive
I would also add that temperature shouldn’t influence the behaviour of your transmission, it gets -40 here and my transmission does not clunk into gear anymore since the shift kit even in the cold. Order the B-4 servo upgrade also and enough fluid for a change at the same time. Feel free to reach ou...
