Re: 2007 V70 2.5t SSS (start studder stall)

...and another update: I finally got around to replacing the starter. Wet/colder weather brought about the slow startup and near stalling again so I slapped a new starter in. The starting RPMs have increased substantially in comparison to the old (FoMoCo) one and starts are much smoother now. It has...

Re: 2005 xc70 red hot turbo at idle

No oil and/or water supply to the turbo so it's not getting cooled?

Re: No Brakes when cold - Vacuum pump/switch replacement w pics

There is a chance the previous owner disconnected the pump because it was running too much. This happens when the booster seal at the pedal fails and starts leaking. I have 1-2 videos on youtube on the subject. Good point! I already bought the grease, I'll go inspect and lubricate that seal asap.

Re: No Brakes when cold - Vacuum pump/switch replacement w pics

On my 2007 2.5T I thought I had a vacuum pump/switch problem, since recently on 2-3 occasions when starting from cold, AC on I think (warm outside if I recall correctly) and driving away quickly, reverse first to turn around, then drive. I had a stiff brake pedal and almost no braking. It always res...

Re: 2004 V70 Unstable on Highway

If you find all the suspension parts are tight then look at the subframe bushings. I had the entire suspension replaced in my 2004 S80 to get rid of a popping sound and a alignment issue which felt like the car would be pulling right, then suddenly be pulling left while on the interstate. ... When ...

Nearly new DICE cable

Image

Good quality DICE cable with 2014(d) VIDA CDs. Build date 8/2017.

I bought it for I think $120 a few months ago and used it to upload a couple tunes, now I don't really need it anymore.

$100 shipped to continental USA.

Re: Any feedback on Elevate? (looking at tunes for my 2.5T)

Installed ARD's ST1 tune and it's really nice. More power when you want it and still very smooth. Lucky has been very responsive to emails.

Now I just have to work with him to get the torque limitation in 1st and 2nd gear removed. Seems like it will be straightforward.

Re: Timing belt replacement 2007 v70

10 years seems like a lot to me for a rubber belt (exposed to extremely high temperatures and activity), that just happens to hold the engine together. I'd replace it now!

Re: 2007 S60 transmission clunk

I notice similar behavior with my '07 2.5t V70. Have changed the ATF several times in the last 40k miles and inspected mounts etc, all look fine. Clunking got marginally better with fluid changes, but still present occasionally.
