v70 key fobs Topic is solved

I have a 01 V70 and I bought it used and it only had 1 key. I want to have another key and 2 fobs but the dealership says it will cost me big bucks !!!! Can I buy 2 off ebay if the part # is right ? they dont have a programing pin ........ Can it be done on the cheap.....(Just had a new born and she is getting all the cash now

No! the ones you see on ebay say they will NOTwork if you have a transponder which all NA Volvos have

I have the same problem with my '97 850. I saw this post in december https://www.matthewsvolvosite.com/chat/p ... php?t=2518 but did not follow up on it. It seems that this company, keys4classics.com,
can get you a key for 36$.

I have a 01 c-70. In my case I still had to take the auto to the dealer as Volvo has to down load the program to the dealer who then activates the key. It is not an inexpensive "deal". I did purchase my fob from ebay and that was a big savings.
