ETM vs Mass Air Flow sensor
I've had to replace the Mass Air Flow sensor twice in the last few months, is this component the same at the ETM mentioned?

we have a 2000 V70XC... I know there are lots of issues with the ETM but is it the same component as the Mass Air Flow Sensor?
Luckly, our XC is under an extended warranty. We've had about $5,000 in repairs in the last several years.

No. MAS is a fragile, expensive part that measures air (density? velocity?) entering the intake.
ETM is an even more expensive part that translates your right foot's action to engine power.
