850 auto box noise when pulling away Topic is solved

i have a volvo 850 2.5 non turbo 94 model, i get a slight whine from auto box when pulling away, as soon as the box changes gear the noise has gone, the vehicle drives fine. Is this an indication that the atf could need changing? Or is it a sign of a bad transmission

its on its way out. mine did the same thing before it no longer moved.
